The Miraculous

For me, most of what I encounter in nature is miraculous. Trees grow, roses bloom, apples ripen, deer come by….

What is the untold force that pushes nature to respond? This force is Love and Love is God. Without Love, nothing would be genuine–genuinely alive. Living a loveless life is not living.

Today, I watched the deer in my yard protecting each other by one stamping its foot as a warning. I see my female dog look to my male, older dog for comfort as she prefers to sleep near him. What or who taught them this behavior? There is a God-driven force; God did create the Universe.

Creation is a gift from Heaven and I am eternally appreciative that God chose me to live on earth now. I am also grateful that I love and live in a rural ambiance. Thus I witness miracles every day.

Fall is approaching with its colorful gifts. Is not the waning of summer miraculous?

Winter snows provide sustenance as we receive the water we need for survival. Thus we have another miracle. The evergreens make the holidays special as do the spring flowers that follow.

My Lord gave us these gifts of life and beauty. He so loved us that what is most cherished and beautiful is gratis.

We are full of life and that is the most beautiful, miraculous, divine gift!

From Rumi:

“Do you want the sweetness of food
Or the sweetness of the one
Who put sweetness in food?
There are amazing things in the ocean,
And there is the one who is the ocean.”
